Mondeo TDCi Starting Problems. I have a 2 month old TDCi that intermittantly is difficult to start. When the problem occurs the engine cranks but does not fire.There is a beeping sound from under the bonnet and the glow plug dash light flashes. At first when the problem arose the engine would fire on the second attempt but it now takes 3/4

ford mondeo 53plate 2ltr tdci having trubble locking the crank through the crank sensor hole not sure what the right position should be as the chain had been removed the top cans are locked in place with 6mm pims and the crank pully has a torks bolt in it , that is at the 11 o clock position, i have removed the glow plug from number one cylnder and im pritty sure the the piston is at the top

Remove the intake manifold. Remove the fuel supply manifold. Remove the accessory drive belt. Remove the thermostat housing. Remove the roller followers. NOTE: You must retime the LH and RH camshafts when either camshaft is disturbed. Turn the crankshaft clockwise to position the number one cylinder at top dead center (TDC).

Pointing To Sensor: Move to the right (driver) side of the engine bay. The camshaft position sensor is located just to the right of a spark plug ignition coil, to the left of the air intake tube mounting bolt and below the air intake tube. I'm pointing to the sensor in the picture above. When I scanned it it comes up with camshaft position sensor P0341. Question is where is the sensor on the engine? When turning the car over it sounds like no compression does that mean timing belt has gone and time to get a oFWKM.
