Mondeo 2.0tdci engine starts no throt - kithmo. The TDCi Mondeo has a fly-by-wire throttle, i.e. no mechanical linkage (no cable), so it sounds like either the throttle position sensor on the accelerator pedal is not sending a signal or the one on the engine is not receiving a signal. I'm a bit surprised that this problem came this early, but it appears that the people at Ford is taking this seriously. Having been through Mondeo Mk.1 1.8I - Mk.2 2.0i - Mk3 2.0i - Mk.4 2.0i - Mk.4.5 2.0 Ecoboost PWS - Mk4.5 2.0TDCi PWS and now the Mk5 TDCI PWS, this is my first serious problem, so I will just wait for Ford to sort things out.
