marlot. Very likely to be a little bit of clutch drag (ie. the clutch isn't completely disengaging). Push the clutch pedal all the way to the floor and hold it there. Shift the car into 1st gear. Rev the engine up, while the clutch pedal is depressed all the way to the floor. Hold it at high revs for a minute or two.

Even if the hill start stuff was the problem the car should stall before the clutch slips, unless the OP has his foot on the clutch pedal. But I'm going to assume the OP is not touching the clutch pedal, the clutch is working normally, then at some point going up the hill the clutch starts to slip.
I've had my turbo replaced a week ago. I've got the 1.6 crd 115 bhp with 50000 kms year 2008. First there was a whistle, a few day's later the turbo was completely broken. 52 posts 路 Joined 2014. #8 路 Feb 2, 2022. Got round to getting the clutch replaced a few weeks ago. Took it to an independent and it only cost 拢387 compared to the 拢709 quoted by the dealer. Don鈥檛 know who manufactures the clutches fitted to new Kia鈥檚 but the garage fitted a Sachs clutch kit.

The gears in my Ceed have become a bit difficult to change - particularly changing to 1 and then 2 and down again. The clutch fluid res is on MAX. Definitely gets better when engine gets warm after about 5 mins driving.
